Canberk Ulaş originates from Turkey, he is a master of the ancient and enchanting Duduk (estimated to be around 4000 years old). His unique style blends Turkish, Anatolian, Armenian and Ottoman heritages in an electroacoustic-contemporary perspective.

This special concert will feature original pieces from Canberk’s eagerly anticipated solo project as he draws upon the depths of his traditional music roots - weaving his own melodies with the mystical and powerful sound of the Duduk in a marriage of the contemporary and the meditative. He sensitively expands the boundaries of his instrument as he explores its melodic voice and harmonic and rhythmic possibilities with his tasteful use of loops, extended techniques and digital effects.
